It always amazes me how much our development has stagnated. As David Duchovny pointed out in the TV series "Californication," "The Internet was supposed to set us free, but it has made us dumber and dumber."
We live in an age of information. Whoever owns and knows information, owns the world. Back in the days people have read books and other stuff like we do right now - and that was fine. Before the Internet has blessed us with its arrival, knowledge was relatively limited.
So how do we learn information today?
Today we have access to billions and trillions of books and journals. But we still use the same learning methods our grandparents used.
Here is what I propose:
1) Add speed reading into the school program
2) Teach kids how to memorize information (for example, by using the method of loci)
3) Teach kids time management
4) Teach kids some important every day knowledge.
What do you think?
